BESST TRADING SRL is a Bucharest-based energy infrastructure company focused on advancing Romania’s transition toward a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable power system. The company is developing a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a total capacity of approximately 1,000 MWh, strategically located near the Bradu 400 kV substation in the Pitești area—one of the country’s key transmission nodes.

This landmark project is designed to play a critical role in strengthening grid stability, enhancing system flexibility, and supporting the large-scale integration of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. By providing fast-response balancing services, peak-shaving capabilities, and reserve power for critical moments, the BESST energy storage facility will contribute directly to improving security of supply and reducing overall system volatility.
